KSL Media Strengthens Marketing Muscle
Adding Mike Oddi As Chief Marketing Officer
New York, February 18, 2011 -- KSL Media,the second-largest independent media services company in the U.S., announced the re-hiring of Mike Oddi to the newly-created position of Chief Marketing Officer, effective January 31, 2011. In this role, he will lead KSL’s Marketing, New Business Development and Public Relations efforts, as well as oversee KSL’s presence at industry events and develop strategies for its promotional efforts in all media.

Oddi, who is based in KSL’s Los Angeles office, brings over twenty-five years of marketing, advertising and direct response expertise to KSL, complemented by a background in consumer profiling and geo-demographic customer analytics. Most recently, he was the EVP of Strategic Marketing Services at Integrated Media Solutions, where he supervised the design, creation and development of new business presentations, agency marketing and messaging strategy, responses to client RFPs, and various projects related to business planning and consumer research. Prior, Mike was Executive Vice President, Strategic Marketing Services at KSL Media.
KSL’s current and future clients will benefit from the extensive cross-category marketing experience that Oddi will share across the KSL organization. He will be responsible for all areas of marketing, including business development, sales, public relations policy, media relations, promotion, web, electronic services and industry trade shows. Additionally, he will also lead marketing, new business and client services teams in the development of marketing strategy, client proposals and presentations, and will supervise prospecting of clients, consultants, creative and digital agencies.

To maximize the effectiveness of KSL’s new CMO position, the agency’s Marketing and New Business team is being restructured, with Oddi reporting to David Sklaver. Reporting to Oddi are Trista Fields, Senior Vice President, Director of Marketing, and Ed Rosenthal, Vice President, Business Development; Katy Thomas, Marketing Associate, continues to support the marketing and new business team, reporting to Fields.
